What is a FBF Class like?
10 rounds of exhilarating experience. We begin with a group jump rope warm up to enhance coordination, agility, endurance and footwork. Then you’ll spend approximately 40 minutes (3 minutes/station with a 30 second break after each transition) pounding variety of punching bags to strengthen and condition your muscles to become the fighter you’ll imagined yourself to be (with lots of dedication and commitment!).
I've never boxed before; will I be able to keep up?
Certainly! Rome wasn’t built in a day! Our classes are beginner friendly and our coaches provided one-on-one instruction to show you proper boxing techniques.
Is there a beginner class?
All of our classes are beginner friendly. If you feel that you need more coaching, no need to sweat! We offer intro boxing classes on Saturdays to go further into detail on the basics of boxing. (See schedule for details)
Do I need to own my own gear?
No. We provide the jump rope and gloves for your first class. Wraps are available for purchase ($10). However, we want every member to have his/her own gloves.
What are wraps, do I really need them?
Yes. Wraps are required during class for protection and sanitary purposes. We use 180’ traditional boxing wraps. Learning to wrap your hands is part of a fighter’s experience. It’s also very therapeutic, it prepares you mentally as you get ready for your training. It’s like putting on your armor before a battle!
How old do you have to be to take a class?
Our youth classes (ages 8-15) are M-F at 4pm.
Adult classes are (ages 13 and up) M-F (see schedule).

Do you have lockers?
No. We have cubbies near the workout floor to store your personal belongings.
Do you have water or should I bring my own?
Hydration is key! We provide communal sport water bottles. There is a filtered water system to fill up your own water bottle.

Will boxing make me too muscular?
No. A boxing training session involves every muscle in the body, but especially the core and the shoulders. Boxing will build lean muscle-mass and tone your entire body.
Is boxing good for you?
Boxing is a total body workout – you don’t punch with your arms, you punch with your whole body! A two-for-one cardio and strength workout, and targets your core, arms, hips and legs.
Will I lose weight boxing?
Boxing has proven to be one of the most effective forms of weight loss. The combination of burning calories and gaining muscle directly results in weight loss.

Why should I choose boxing?
Fitness: With proper technique, the entire body is engaged. Causing it to burn so many calories: explosive movements that utilize every major muscle group.
Mental Exercise: The sport requires skill and mental proficiency as well as physical fitness. There are several things that you have to remember at once, but that’s what makes it so effective. Rather than trudging through the motions or mindlessly walking on a treadmill, this workout engages your brain and causes you to think, and think fast. It’s a great way to build a skill while you break a sweat.

Do I need to create an account?
No. However, we recommend creating an account with the MindBody (www.mindbodyonline.com) or app (MindBody) to make your booking experience quick and easy.
Do I have to buy a package or a membership?
No. We offer drop in classes.

When should I arrive?
Please arrive 10 minutes before class for check-in.
What do I do when I get there?

What if I’m running late?
It is important for beginners to arrive 10 minutes prior to class. If you are unable to make it in time, please sign-up for another class.
What should I wear?
Workout attire that makes you feel fly.
What shoes should I wear?
Most clients wear traditional cross-training shoes (sneakers). Bonus points if you have boxing shoes, but they’re not necessary.
